Who is Charlotte?

Charlotte Yoga Teacher

Charlotte discovered yoga in 2012, during a particularly challenging period of her life. Yoga was a way to find peace amidst the chaos and focus of her own mental and physical well-being. Charlotte travelled to India to fully immerse herself in her Yoga teacher training and  started teaching yoga in 2017.  With her E-RYT500 qualification has allowed her to teach around the world, teaching various Yoga styles and practices. She embraces students of all bodies, shapes, sizes and welcomes everybody no matter what their level of practice.Modifications to poses are encouraged to make yoga accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Our yoga classes are suitable for all levels and are designed to be both fun and energetic. Whether you're a beginner or well-versed in yoga, your experienced teacher Charlotte provides modifications for each pose to ensure a safe and effective practice. You’ll enjoy excellent tunes as you move and groove through each class, with a relaxing ending that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.

At Charlotte Dugdale Yoga, we offer teacher training programs designed to help yoga teachers delve deeper into their knowledge, both physically and philosophically. During our programs, teachers enhance their skills to lead classes, adjust and modify movements to cater to individual needs. Additionally, we teach confidence-building techniques and provide resources to help develop their own unique style of teaching.

Yoga is a mind-body practice that enables the practitioner to become aware and present.  The practice of yoga involves movement, meditation, and breathing techniques (Pranayama) to improve mental and physical well-being. 

There are different types and disciplines of yoga that can provide a range of benefits to our current fast-paced lifestyles.  Yoga allows you to slow down, set goals, and improve mental and physical health. The advantages of yoga are endless, and the reasons for practice change from person to person. There is never a better time to start than now.

just finished Charlotte beginners classed...it was amazing I can highly recommend it. I was worried as I hadn't done yoga before, but Charlotte was great & helped put me at ease. Can't wait for the New Year to start classes again xx

She explains the poses very clearly and helps with form so that you really do the poses properly. She also gives you lots of options to make the class appropriate for your level, no matter what it is. I met Charlotte at the beginning of 2022 after a year or so of home practice. She made her classes easy to attend by being friendly and open whilst still professional, along with reassuring myself and others that we were all welcome whatever stage we were at in our journey. I’ve also attended a workshop with Charlotte. Working on inversions is what I love and never before have I had the guidance with the drills that I had with Charlotte.I feel like she has a watchful eye and notices change in people and spots when she could perhaps assist should myself or anyone else wish .

Let’s all be honest, yoga classes can differ a lot from teacher to teacher - charlottes classes are like no other yoga class I have taken before. Charlotte encourages you to take what your body needs in her classes, passes on her wealth of experience and knowledge in the different types of yoga she teaches and you leave the class feeling mentally rested while knowing you have supported your body to build strength in a supportive way. I have attended classes and workshops with Charlotte and they are always brilliant. If you want to prioritise yourself and are looking for a class to try yoga for the first time or take your practice to the next level I thoroughly recommend you try charlottes classes, they are truly wonderful

I’ve been attending Charlotte’s classes for about a year now and she consistently delivers quality yoga classes which have had a massive positive impact on my spiritual, emotional and physical well-being, as well as deepen my yoga practice. She offers a range of classes that leave me feeling centred and calm, whether it’s a dynamic vinyasa flow or yin yoga. She also runs workshops such as, yin yoga and reiki, fire vinyasa masterclasses, chakra-focused yin yoga and yoga retreats (super excited for this!). Charlotte creates a very accepting and non-judgemental atmosphere, gently encouraging yogis to challenge themselves or take whatever they need during the practice (even if that’s an hour of savasana!). 11/10 would recommend Charlotte’s classes
